Naked Truth about Social Media- after Netvision conference

On Friday 23 April 2010,  Peter Horsten, Goyello’s director, gave a presentation on the subject of Social Media usage as a part of the marketing strategy. He revealed some “ugly truth” that not everyone is aware of when it comes to SM use.

 He revealed some naked truth about SM and it turns out integrating Social Media into a proper marketing campaign is not free and involves a lot of time, money and people to make it effective. It seems that not everyone can do it, you need vast knowledge on the subject and always keep up to date with the current trends. Moreover, it won’t bring stunning measurable results quickly and sometimes it’s better to outsource it to  some SM specialists instead of doing it all in-house.

 

Peter also presented the applications that allow us to monitor and measure SM results. Finally, he showed how IT companies like Dell, Cisco, SAP actually mastered the art of using Social Media as a part of their communication, branding and marketing strategy.
